Searching for acoustic guitars on the internet.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years now. In that time I've owned many different brands. Martin, Gibson, Fender, Seagull, Epiphone, Alvarez, Ibanez, Washburn, Cordoba, Squier, Takamine, etc... My Zager Zad900CE is by far the best sounding, playing guitar I've ever owned. The craftsmanship and fine detail that Denny Zager puts into his guitars is exquisite. Looks like a fine piece of art.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$4500+

How would you rate customer support?
2nd to none. Best customer service I ever knew.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and I have. The ZAD900CE easily competes with some of the best and most expensive guitars there are at a fraction of their price.

Additional comments:
If you're planning to spend a lot of money on a higher-end Martin, Taylor or Gibson I recommend trying a Zager ZAD 900CE first. This is a fantastic guitar not to mention customer service that is 2nd to none. Comes with a lifetime warranty and there's absolutely no risk to try one. If you decide for whatever reason you are not satisfied Zager pays shipping both ways.

How did you hear about this brand?
I came across the Zager Guitar website shortly after purchasing a Gibson J45. The reviews and photos online peaked my curiosity. I was not 100% satisfied with the Gibson J45 and came across these beautiful looking Zager guitars with stellar reviews by everyone that had one. I saw that there are quite a few professionals using Zager guitars as well and that impressed me most so I decided to place an order. The reviews all looked too good to be true but due to Zager's 100% money-back guarantee I decided to take a chance. While I was waiting for my guitar to arrive I went to a few music stores and played several guitars. Martin, Taylor, Gibson, and other brands as well. Some of the guitars I played were in the $2200-$6000+ price range. Finally I got my Zager. It was packed perfectly and was in tune right out of the box. I was blown away by not only the sound but by the appearance as well. This is a well made, gorgeous looking guitar that sounds great and plays like a dream. Denny Zager has his craft down and does it right.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
In my almost 40 years of playing guitar I've owned quite a few. Every brand from Martin, Gibson, Fender, Alvarez, Cordoba, Squier, Ibanez, Alvarez, Sigma, Washburn, Epiphone, Seagull, etc... No guitar I've owned or played can touch my ZAD900CE. The reviews and advertisements for Zager Guitars are all true. You can believe it or not. All I can say is if you're planning on spending $3000+ or more on a guitar try a Zager first. There's nothing to lose as they will pay shipping and insurance both ways if you are not satisfied. Best customer service I've ever come across.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's hard to pick a favorite. I love everything about this guitar but if I had to choose I guess I'd say the sound. Unplugged and plugged in. The Fishman Aura System on this guitar is amazing. It reproduces the natural sound beautifully.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Easily $4500-$5500. Just the looks and appearance alone compares to guitars that cost that much. The beautiful solid Spruce top with rosewood back and sides, the abalone inlay, the hand bent maple binding, mother of pearl, etc... Gorgeous.

How would you rate customer support?
Dennis, Jr. provided me with the best customer service I've ever experienced. He was very professional in his approach and answered every email (and I sent a myriad of emails to him with my questions) usually within 10-15 minutes of contacting him. Not only that but I ordered the standard wooden hard shell case and was pleasantly surprised to find that he upgraded me to the higher end case for free. Threw in a very nice Zager capo, extra strings, picks and of course the Zager T-Shirt! Zager's record with the BBB, a long with thousands of satisfied, happy customers speaks for itself. I will definitely be buying more guitars from the Zager family. I already have my sights set on the ZAD80CE.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and already have without question. This is a very well crafted, beautiful looking guitar that plays like the ads say. My friend owns a nice Taylor which is a very fine guitar. He loved my Zager and couldn't believe how well it played and sounded.

A great product with the best customer support... What more could one want?!

How did you hear about this brand?
Searching for a small, high quality solid wood guitar, I came across YouTube videos and the Zagerguitar.com website.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It is a very attractive instrument, and obviously very well-made. Since it is a solid mahogany guitar, it is resonant and has good sustain, given its smaller size.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Very pleased about the sound that comes from this 3/4 size instrument. My other 2 guiitars are dreadnoughts, and the purpose in selecting this one was to be small enough to take on trips. This fits the bill, without the tinny sound from other "travel-size guitars that I tried.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$600-$700

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent, very responsive. Quick replies to even to my simplest questions.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Definitely! It is easier to play, as advertised. I am only a beginner, but our musical family has several (four, to be exact) experienced players, and they are all impressed with the quality of craftsmanship and playability. We regularly have family gatherings, and most times we share music. The Zager is one of the first guitars grabbed when we bring out the instruments!

How did you hear about this brand?
I was searching Ebay for a good used acoustic electric and I noticed an add for Zager easy play guitars. Curiosity got to me, so I checked out the web site, read the reviews, and started researching the Zager brand.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
There is no comparison with the guitars I've owned. This new ZAD20CE sounds fantastic, brand new, right out of the box. I'm impressed with the the tone, especially the deep, rich bass. I didn't expect that from a cut away. If it sounds this good brand new, I'm excited to hear it as it ages.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The tone, low string height, comfort of the neck, beautiful looks and craftsmanship, over all playability. It's everything it's advertised to be.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$1800 - $2000.00

How would you rate customer support?
10 + out of ten. I always received a response from Dennis within 20 minutes of sending an e-mail. Denny Zager's company is first class all the way, from his product to the employees.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes absolutely. I don't think you're going to beat the quality at the price they sell them for. They also back all there guitars with a 100% guarantee.

Additional comments:
Denny and his son run their company the right way. They have an outstanding product at a great price, with customer service that is second to none. How can you beat that??

How did you hear about this brand?
Thru extensive research the brand continuously made the top of the list

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Overall quality is a cut above

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The quality of this guitar makes choosing a favorite part of the guitar itself but what most stands out is the quality of the support both before and after the sale

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I personally do not know enough about acoustic guitars to estimate prices but for the quality I consider the price I paid to be very fair.

How would you rate customer support?
I do not believe that there is another guitar company that can even come close to the quality of the customer support both before and after the sale. How many name brand guitars can you pick up the phone and immediate support or email and always get a response within 24 hours even on Saturday or Sunday. I do not think that you will find another company that will come even close.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely because of the customer support alone would be enough to justify recommending these guitars then once the quality comes into play I do not believe that it would be possible to find a better choice.

Additional comments:
The quality and price of these guitars is exceptional that plus the level of support a person could not ask for a better combination

How did you hear about this brand?
I was doing some research in preperation to purchasing a new guitar and stumbled across a You Tube video by Rusty Shackleford showing the new Zager ZAD900CE that just came in the mail.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I currently have and have had many guitars in the past and I have never seen a guitar as beautiful and well made as the Zager ZAD900CE especially as inexpensive as it was. Guitars two or three times the cost pale in comparison. The playability is incredible. This is the best setup guitar I have ever experienced.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
When I first received this guitar in the mail, I excitedly opened up the box and pulled out the nicely cased guitar. After looking through all of the extras that came with the guitar, I finally opened the case to see a work of art. My jaw literaly dropped open and then a big smile came across my face. After admiring the workmanship and quality woods that were used, I finaly got ready to play it. Being delivered during winter on a UPS truck, I was all ready to tune it up first. To my utter suprise it was in perfect tune. I played it for quite a whlie before I could force my self to put it down. I have been playing the guitar for weeks and it hasn't gone out of tune yet. I have never seen a guitar with such perfect setup to stay in tune so long. The tonation is spot on no matter where I go on the neck. Granted I don't thrash the guitar when I play. I'm a soft methodic strummer and picker as Dennis stresses in his videos. I could realy go on for hours how unique this guitar experience is. It's safe to say that I don't beleive I will ever come across a finer guitar than my Zager ZAD900CE in my life time.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would have extimated $5000 or more.

How would you rate customer support?
Customer service at Zager Custome Guitars couldn't be better. Quaestions are answered quickly and Denny is always available when I go online. They're the best.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would and have raved about this guitar to many and will continue to. Everyone that picks it up is amazed at the sound, quality of the woods and playability.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It plays much easier and sounds better than my Yamaha. The only thing my old guitar has over the Zager is age (30+ years), and I am sure my Zager will also sound better with age.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
How much easier it is to play. But I also like how it sounds. And how it looks. It's just an overall beautiful guitar. Oh, and all the freebies and upgrades were also great! Thanks Dennis!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Over $1000.00, easily.

How would you rate customer support?
Top notch. Need I say more?

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would absolutely recommend this guitar (or any other Zager models) to anyone like me that has arthritis in their hands, making it harder and less enjoyable to play. Or anyone who just wants an overall great guitar experience.

Additional comments:
My guitar arrived last night. I followed the instructions and let it sit at room temperature for 2 hours before opening it (longest 2 hours of my life). I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was mostly still in tune despite the fact that it had sat in a cold delivery truck for who knows how long (most of the day I am guessing) and just needed some minor adjustments. Since it was late and I had to get up the next morning for work, I had planned to just play it for a few minutes then go to bed. I ended up playing it for over an hour and had to force myself to put it up and go to bed. I must say that this guitar lives up to all expectations. Not only is it the easiest guitar I have ever played, it has the most beautiful tone that I know will only improve with age. With my hands starting to develop arthritis I have been frustrated with my playing. I almost never got my guitar out anymore, and when I did, I would usually put it up after 20 - 30 minutes in frustration. It hurt to play and I found myself muting strings that I never used to. Barre chords were especially difficult for me. I can honestly say that I had no problems with muting strings and even barre chords were a breeze. I could have played far longer than I did last night with little discomfort. Thanks to this guitar, I am actually enjoying playing again! This evening I got out my Fender Passport and plugged in. I was anxious to hear how the electronics sound. I have to say it sounds just as good plugged in as it does standalone. I love the built-in tuner! Thanks to you and your dad for making playing guitar fun again!

The tone is amazing, well balance from E string to E string.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The sound, it jumps out of the guitar.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I really have nothing to compare it to. The sound is so rich I would expect to cost at least twice what I paid.

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent. Timely and helpful.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes, I would definitely recommend to others. Tone, ease of play, beautifully built,

Additional comments:
It has been forty years since I last played and if anything this Zager has made it as easy as I could expect. There is a big learning curve for me right now, but the guitar is so much fun to play and the low tension on the strings make it easier on my fingers that I am excited to sit down each day and practice.

How did you hear about this brand?
I happened to stumble upon it when searching for a smaller suitable guitar for myself.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It is much smaller than the full size Jasmine accoustic I had, but I wanted a smaller guitar. And, what is so pleasing, although smaller, it has a wonderful full deep sound. It truly is amazing for a smaller guitar.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
There's so much! Besides it's smaller size, it's beautiful, plays so easy and sounds great. I guess it's just perfect for me, that's the best part.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I never owned a very expensive guitar before, but after checking online what quality guitars can cost, the Zager was a terrific deal. It is such a prize to own.

How would you rate customer support?
So far it has been exceptional. Any questions I have are answered quickly and additional advice is always given as well.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes I would. Especially, if the individuals were petite as I am. It makes all the difference in the world to play a guitar that feels comfortable and is sized right for you. It makes you want to play it more and practice. You're really enjoying the experience so much more.

Additional comments:
I'm so glad I found out about Zager guitars and I think it's neat to own a guitar that was made by Denny Zager, who was part of the duo known for the song "In the Year 2525." I remember loving to listen to that song when I was a teen.

How did you hear about this brand?
I found the Zager website while surfing the internet for some other guitar information. I was impressed by the quality and quantity of helpful information on their site, and after reading reviews about Zager guitars on other sites, decided to take a chance. This was the first time I ever bought any guitar without putting my hands on it first.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
My Zager is the ZAD20EVS model. As seen in the picture, it is a cutaway model and not the same body style shown on their website. The quality of my guitar is top-notch. I have been playing for 20 years, and have owned many acoustics including Yamahas, Guilds, Taylors, Alvarez, Ibanez and recently a Martin. The build quality and the electronics compare very favorably with any of them. I have recommended Zager to my friends.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Aside from its playability, the beauty of the finish is awesome. I've always loved a sunburst finish, and this one is gorgeous.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
If this guitar were sold retail in a brick and mortar outlet, it would likely be priced in the $750 - $900 range. That includes a professional-quality, padded, hard shell case.

How would you rate customer support?
I've never had better anywhere. My emails are answered in an hour or less. All of my questions are thoroughly answered.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I have recommended it to others. I liked the idea of finding a quality guitar that is not one of the same old brand names that everyone owns. That makes the guitar special. Zager's return guarantee cinched the deal for me.

Additional comments:
My order was upgraded with no additional cost. The body style I wanted was not available, so I had to wait a little longer, and eventually got the cutaway dreadnaught instead, with better electronics, and the more expensive case. Worth the wait!

How did you hear about this brand?
I came across an ad on the Internet. I was intrigued about their claim of an "easy play" guitar.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have an older Guild and a Taylor mini, I wanted something smaller to travel with, as well as a smaller guitar that would be easier to handle.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Outstanding details, high gloss; abalone inlay; nice mahogany ; quality high-end hardware; but best of all, the bright tone. And did I mention The high quality case that it came in (a case that Martin guitars uses).

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Although this is quite an inexpensive guitar, it is not a cheap guitar by any means. A cheap guitar lacking sound quality and craftsmanship would cost you the $300 and sum dollars that I had paid for this guitar. This should be at least an $800 guitar, especially since it is not marked "made in China" and is hand crafted in America!

How would you rate customer support?
Instant contact and communication (you will note that on their website, a window pops up telling you that "Dennis is in" if you want to have "live chat" about any questions that you might have.

How did you hear about this brand?
I read a lot of reviews across the Internet in my search for a quality Acoustic-Electric guitar made either in the United States or Canada by craftsman. In my research, I came across Zager Guitars manufactured in Lincoln, Nebraska. The positive reviews made by so many customers were a major influence in my purchase of a Zager Guitar.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I purchased a Fender Jimmy Dale Kingman SCE earlier this year. I was extremely disappointed in the workmanship, quality and sound. I ended replacing the nut, saddle, pins with TUSQ and put on Martin Silk and Steel strings to help improve the sound (which I did based upon Denny Zager's recommendation). Prior to purchasing, I looked at Tanglewood, Martin and Taylor guitars at my local guitar store. I purchased the ZAD20CEOM and couldn't be happier with the rich sound, quality and craftsmanship.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I have short fingers and large palms, which is a bad combination for a guitar player. I selected the orchestra size based upon Denny's recommendation and I could not be happier. The guitar simply "fits" in my hand. I love the sound, the beautiful wood tone and the inlay on the neck. I am looking forward to many years of playing and my next Zager purchase!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$1500

How would you rate customer support?
Denny Zager has strong customer focused philosophy and practice. If all American companies embodied their commitment, communication and ethic, we would not have an economic crisis. Prior to my purchase, I had emailed Denny Zager to ask a few questions and to get recommendations, fully expecting an email back in a week or two. Imagine my surprise to get a response back within minutes! We communicated a number of times prior to my purchase. I have a strong feeling of trust with Zager. I hope to be able to meet them one day. Thank you for the excellent communication. At the risk of sounding corny, Zager treats customers like family.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Beautiful Sound. Quality and craftsmanship. Unbelievable Value and beauty. Customer focused commitment to service and satisfaction

How did you hear about this brand?
I came across Zager Guitar while researching guitars online.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I purchased the ZAD20E - Sunburst and it is everything and more than Dennis and Denny talk about in their online videos. I own several acoustic and electric guitars - Primarily been a Fender owner - This is the best acoustic guitar in my collection.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The playability & sound is the best in my collection - Frankly this guitar is a piece of art both visual & sound!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
If I would have picked this guitar up in the music store and began playing - I would have guess the price tag be anywhere from $1,500-$2,000. It most definitely compares to Martin Acoustic Guitars without question!

How would you rate customer support?
The customer service is top notch! I spent over a week emailing Dennis Zager, Jr. with questions/concerns and each email was returned within an hour at most - Most of the time he responded within minutes - It was better customer service than if I where in a music store face to face with a sales associate. The guitar was shipped within a day of purchase and received within a few days - It was packaged exactly as demonstrated in the online video - Clearly with the up most care in mind.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would absolutely recommend Zager Guitars! As a matter of fact I have already passed your website and contact information along to several of my musician friends - Purchasing this guitar was an absolute pleasure. Denny and Dennis ... You should be very proud of your work and the business you have built. Keep up the great work! You have a customer for life here!!

Additional comments:
If you are considering a Zager Guitar and you are hesitant because you are purchasing sight unseen or because it's an online only buy - DON'T BE! You will not be disappointed. Guaranteed! I normally don't provide feedback but; in this case I felt it important to do so - Denny and Dennis deserve credit for great customer service and the beautiful guitar's they build - Thank you again guys!

How did you hear about this brand?
Returning to the website to see what you had to offer. I loved the mahogany guitar I bought before from you. I gave that one away. I bought an Z-80 and haven't looked back.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I'm not a 'wood-sniffer.' If a 'less expensive' guitar meets my needs and wants, why buy a piece of overpriced wood because it has "Martin" on it? I do have a 1975 Gibson J-55 which is my favorite guitar in all ways. But in the stores, I can't tell a PRS from a Luna from a Martin. I doubt 99% of people out there can.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's warmth. I had never played a cedar top guitar. The tones are magical. At first I didn't like it; it seemed a little heavy and dull. But as I played into it and it acclimatized, it sounded beautiful. I've already been offered money and a trade, which I won't take.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I think I said before 1000 to 1200. I underestimated that. My friends who've (I've allowed...) to play it all price it in the $2000 area because of the detail. I covered the logo and most thought it a Martin D-35.

How would you rate customer support?
Real good. I recall you had some difficulties while I was trying to resolve a thing over a case. You kindly took your time to resolve it. Thank you.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely. Best bang for your buck if you want a beautiful, great sounding guitar at a reasonable price. DON'T LET THE "WOOD-SNIFFERS" in the music stores influence you. Or your friend who just spent a fortune on a Martin and of COURSE thinks it's the 'greatest sounding guitar on the planet.' Yes, tone woods matter on acoustic guitars. But these are very nicely built with quality woods! They just won't bump the price $2000 because of hype and advertising.

I waited a while to post another review. After I 'played in' the guitar, I find it's my "go-to" now. Sounds great, looks great, and the damn thing is ALWAYS in tune when I take it out of the case! Thanks guys. regards to Denny Sr. and the rest.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Like driving a Ferrari when you are used to an AMC Pacer

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Playability - I have always fought to play - now I am Learning to play. I feel like the doors have been thrown wide open to the world of guitar playing. I know I will achieve my playing goals now!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I have been checking out Gibson, Fender, Taylor, and Martin in the music shops. I decided to bite the bullet and get one in the $800 to $1,200 range. I probably would have passed by this guitar if I had saw it in the shop. I would have thought it was WAY out of my price range.

How would you rate customer support?
Top notch. Received answers to my questions fast and reliable.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes...beginners need a guitar that allows them to play longer with less fatigue. Pros and advanced players need a guitar they can call their own and brag about. I feel these guitars run that gambit. Hats off the the Zagers!

Get one..then you will see. No risk...the Zager family will take care of you!

I have a really nice 25th aniversary Alvares that I have enjoyed for years. I'm amazed how much better my Zager sounds.

The width of the neck (I have big fingers) and the fact that I don't have to press the string as hard to make clear notes.

How did you hear about this brand?
From a guitarist friend. He said there was a great affordable guitar from a company in Nebraska. He couldn't recall the name. I did a search and found your site. Then, another local guy I know bought a ZAD20Emhgny just like the one delivered to my door last week. Tried it and wanted one.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This guitar surpasses any I've owned, a Washburn, an Epiphone, an Ovation. I've tried Martins and Gibsons in stores and prefer my new Zager to any of them. The quality jumps out at you.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The playability. It is like wearing silk. So smooth and balanced and easy.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
It would have to be in the $1150-$1250 range based on my experiences.

How would you rate customer support?
I have yet to have a problem, but based on my limited interaction, I would have to say it is 10 out of 10. Or better. Certainly the kind of customer support rarely seen any more. My first contact was an email with a couple questions before purchase. It was responded to personally by Denny Jr. within 5 minutes. There were several after that and the response time was just as quick. It is so refreshing to be treated in a way that makes one feel more than just another customer. If I have any problems with my guitar in the future, I have no doubts I'll be treated just as well.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely. Already have. The guitar is beautiful for one thing. It has the look of quality and personal care. It feels great in your hands, and plays like nothing I've ever tried. Tone is balanced and lovely. I am thrilled.

How did you hear about this brand?
I was searching the web for guitar music tabs and saw the Zager advertisement. Never heard of Zager before and ignored it for a while, as I thought it was a con about being easier to play, less stress on your finger tips etc. I wanted to practice a lot but I couldn't, my fingertips gave out. Then after doing more challenging quick barre chord work and arpeggio playing I developed tendonitis in my fretting arm. Even after a break of playing the guitar and then later back to play again, the tendonitis came back. I thought this was the end of playing the guitar and so out of desperation I decided to make a chance on these Zagers. What could I lose, except my money or I get the guitar and find there would be no difference and therefore a waste of money. I was taking a chance being in Australia and buying it from a place in Lincoln, Nebraska, I thought what a risk. Well how wrong was I, after a 3 month wait, I received the guitar and this was the moment of truth. Is this all a con. Well absolutely not and I have to say I was emotional. The sound was fantastic, the neck works like the speed of a Ferrari, I could do rapid barre chord changes. I have to say you have to learn to not put so much pressure on the string, you have to relax and it still plays brilliantly and no buzz. I noticed it especially with my soft fingertips, as I had stopped playing the guitar for 3-4 months, before receiving the Zager. The best thing now is I can play a lot longer and after 5 months NO TENDONITIS ! My guitar tutor thought I was wasting my money until he played the guitar and he was really surprised how well it could play. He just couldn't believe I could get a custom guitar for the price and be so forgiving in playing notes with a great loud clear sound. He agreed with me that the guitar sounds like a piano, it was so full and clear.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Chalk and cheese in comparison. When I developed tendonitis I was desperate, tried different strings and went to guitar stores to play different guitars including very expensive ones. It was after this search for the holy grail I decided to buy the Zager.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Incredible sound. Since getting the Zager I have never had to use the amp. I used the amp on my other guitars to get a good sound but with the Zager it is loud enough and has a great piano sound.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
Easily $2000+

How would you rate customer support?
Fantastic, very quick response to my questions. I was a bit nervous around the 3rd month as I thought this guitar was not real and I would never get it. I felt assured by Dennis but in the back of my mind I still had some doubt. Well that is in the past I have my treasured Zager. Love the case, tee shirt, extra strings etc.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Most certainly, anybody who cares to listen. The guitar is impressive in finish and appearance and I really don't think I will ever get the feeling I want another guitar. Before the Zager I was continually thinking of getting another guitar to get the holy grail sound or always changing my strings as I was hooked on the new sound they gave but they quickly dulled. I find I can have the strings last a lot longer on the Zager as you still get a great sound.

Additional comments:
I always look forward to playing the Zager. My guitar tutor is envious. Some people have said to me you will never be able to play other non Zager guitars well. I think who cares, I say why should playing a guitar be torture to play, sore fingers, short practice times, getting tendonitis etc. It should be enjoyable. It has been my best decision to buy the Zager, I wish I knew a lot earlier about these guitars.

How did you hear about this brand?
I found Zager guitars through surfing the internet after two failed attempts to find a decent 3/4 size guitar in the local chain. I heard the You-Tube demo and the Zager sounded like a real sweet guitar so I dived in to learn what I could about their 3/4 size and their company.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
The first 3/4 size guitar I bought was a Mitchell. It looked great, but was a little ukulele sounding. It was very inexpensive and the store's satisfaction policy is quite reasonable so I bought it and took it home. It seemed to get tinnier on the way home, and the first time I used a capo, the various strings went to differing degrees of sharp. It wouldn't hold its tuning, either! Back it went. Figuring you usually get what you pay, but not wanting to make a larger investment, I settled on what I now call a plastic faux-Martin. Sure, it was twice as much money, but it sounded pretty good, held its tuning and the capo produced even steps across the scale. It went back two days later when the back decided to leave the rest of the guitar! When I first tuned up and played the 3/4 Zager I'm sure I got a stupid, but well-pleased, smile across my face that I'm sure hasn't left yet (the smile that is. My wife will tell you the rest is permanent!). I also have a Yamaha FS730, and two Washburns. A WF27SCE dread that plays and sounds as good or better than those costing twice as much and a model WP27SNS parlor-size that really sounds just as good, but different and pleasant. I am thrilled to say that I now have the 3/4 size I wanted which is every bit as sweet as the guitars I have become used to. Believe me, I have been blessed to find such well-voiced guitars!

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The thing I like most about my Zager, of course, is playing it! It is a joy to play laid back in my recliner where I spend a lot of time because of my back. The dread size isn,t quite as easy to play reclined! and, it sure is handy to cart around! I am still amazed at the full, rich tone and volume this little guitar achieves. No more boxy-sounding, nor tinny, nor ukulele-like guitars being played here anymore! No more shiny, but cheap guitars. No more plastic guitars. Genuine tonewoods where they are supposed to be and quite attractive to boot!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I Would expect a guitar of this quality and voice to be at least $700 a bargain.

How would you rate customer support?
I haven't had to really use customer support for anything but a change in shipping instructions. I can say that all my contacts have been pleasant and you can tell there is a customer orientation to the folks a Zager.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would whole-heartedly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a 3/4 size guitar for travel, or a child, to play in a recliner or just as a second or third guitar. It really sounds so good it can stand on its own if you just would like to have only one guitar, but life is short!

Additional comments:
My dad always told me that even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and again. It seems that I am beating the odds here between the Washburns I found and now my new Zager. What a well made and great sounding guitar. The demo on You-Tube is not a fluke or a special guitar made up for the occassion. Tis is the real deal!

How did you hear about this brand?
Really by pure luck just scrolling through the net websites trying to find a guitar I could play easier without the finger pain.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
There is no comparison with any other guitars I own or others I have tried in the past I currently own another 4 guitars and my new Zager Zad20e sunburst is by far the best , it is light to handle , it's is easier to play and nicely built and nice to look at bearing in mind I have only had my Zager a few days now and noticed the differences immediately .

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I think it has to be the playability , obviously because of it's design and the way it is built , but really all the parts are my favourite lysis just a perfect instrument.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
If we are talking US dollar I recon defiantly around the $1000 mark without a doubt.

How would you rate customer support?
Customer support is excellent , great help and guidance throughout your purchase and ready available to answer any questions you may have .

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I would defiantly recommend this guitar to others just because of what you get for your money , the support and the chance to be able to play the guitar probably faster and easier than with any ordinary guitar, if it is your goal to play the guitar then this is your chance.

Additional comments:
I would like to add how happy I am with my new Zager Guitar , I used to always look out for a piece of memorabilia in a guitar ie a signed guitar or owned by some one famous , now I need look no further as I got it all in one package A New Guitar Not only Signed but also Built and Designed by Denny Zager himself a legendary guitarist performer , so now I have piece of memorabilia I can use and at a fraction of the price of any other signed instrument .

How did you hear about this brand?
I actually heard about Zeger guitars on Facebook.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This guitar is so good, got to be the best guitar that I own now and I own Takamines,a Martin dreadnought D16, an Alverez and Ibanez and many smaller branded guitars. The sound looks and playability of the zad80ce is far better than these and in time should get better with the solid top.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
looks, sound, playability and build quality is very very good, remanisent of much more expensive guitars.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
As I live in the UK,I would say £1,500.00-£2.000.00.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Very lively sound for any guitar but when you consider that it is a parlor size it is really impressive.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Sound and really is easier to play.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I have played similar sized guitars that retailed for close to $2,000 that are not even close to the sound and playability of my new Zager.

How would you rate customer support?
Best experience I ever hard buying somthing on line.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes sound and it just feels so good to play. Play for hours and hours without even realizing how much time has passed.

Additional comments:
I read reviews before that didnt seem real about Zager guitars. After having mine a few days I understand why. They really are as good as they say. Any bad things you seem about these guitars have to be coming from someone with an agenda. My Zager parlor is my new favorite and yes I own several of the big name guitars.

How did you hear about this brand?
I browsed the available products on the Zager website.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I currently own an apx700ii electro-acoustic and an apx1000mbl electro-acoustic. These guitars are the Yamaha slimline models with a body depth of 3 9/16 inches, I find the full depth body of dreadnought guitars too bulky and cumbersome. The ZAD20ceom has a similar body depth to my Yamahas (4 1/4 inches), so I find it very comfortable to play. The action on my Yamahas is lower than most guitar models and the string spacing is full size. This makes the Yamahas comfortable to play and reliable all the way down the neck. I have found the ZAD20ceom to be very similar in these respects and I feel right at home with this guitar. The main difference I have found is that the playability (ie ease of chord holding, tone and resonance) is noticeably superior on the ZAD20ceom.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The overall feel and playability.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
500 pounds sterling

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent. I have very seldom seen such a high level of professionalism, friendliness and courtesy.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes. This guitar is expertly made and set up, Mr Zager is a true craftsman.

It's the best guitar I've ever owned. (This one is one of your discounted models) P.S. I own a 25th Anniversary Taylor 814ce and it's an awesome guitar.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Of course it plays great but, I would have to say that the mid range tonality and the over all voicing impresses me the most. Haven't plugged it in yet. Can't wait to check out the Aura / Fishman pickup system.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
The Taylor that I compared it to cost me $3,500.00 New and I would choose the ZAD900 over it.

How did you hear about this brand?
Watching Youtube videos of various artists I stumbled across a testimonial for Zager guitars.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
Best acoustic I've owned since I have never been willing to spend thousands of dollars on a Martin or Taylor. Now I have a quality guitar at a reasonable price.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
It's playability while maintaining a great sound. Conventional wisdom is to put heavy strings and raise the action to great great tone but only someone that has been playing for years can actually play such an instrument. The Zager guitar makes it possible for anyone to learn guitar on afine instrument.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
between $1500 and $2000

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent! Especially for an Internet Company. It's always better to do deal with a family owned business and not a corporation.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I certainly will. The affordability of a quality instrument is hard to find.

Additional comments:
The photos of Denny playing my guitar is great. It makes me feel like he puts pride in every instrument with his name on it. This is not the case at some guitar factories that put guitars out the door as fast as they can. I used to set up guitars at a well known guitar factory. There are new techs coming and going all the time. It's just a job to them. They don't really love what they are doing.

I stumbled upon it in an internet AD but I was very skeptical.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I must say that it is very easy for me to say that my ZAD20CE AURA is hands down the best guitar I have ever played. My son has a $3,200 Taylor and the ZAGER plays better and sounds every bit as good. My Martin DX-1 sounded good played nice but the ZAGER is beyond what I thought I would receive via internet, sight unseen, never played and yet WOW

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Because I am getting older and my hands tire easily, I found the ZAGER seems to almost play itself it is almost effort free

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
$3,000+++ the quality of the instrument, the sound, the feel and especially the looks. It looks like an expensive guitar. I am so astonished the ZAGER does not have the name recognition the other have like Gibson, Martin, Taylor and such

How would you rate customer support?
I have been in sales for about 20 of my last 55 years working and I work with all kinds of companies. Dennis Zager Jr. was on top of every question I put to him. Never did he give me the feeling he was frustrated by my constant requests. No only did he get right back to me very quickly, but he made every effort to make sure that my purchase was one that I wanted not what he had to sell. He put together a package that was perfect and boy am I happy I kept asking different questions. Thanks Dennis

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
I have already called several people about this ZAGER guitar because I want everyone to see and hear and play this instrument. They will be blown away.

Additional comments:

Through my brother. He'd bought a ZAD80 and I was floored by its beauty and tone.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I love it as much as my 25 year old Taylor 800 dreadnought (rosewood). Don't often go into music stores to check out guitars, but very few compare to its craftsmanship and beautiful voice.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The two things I mentioned above, the craftsmanship and the tone. I would also add that its playability is a real plus for my arthritis. So great to sit for hours and play and not feel stiff and soreness afterward.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would say at least $1500

Additional comments:
I've had my Zager for 8 years now and am still loving it. I picked it up the other day after not playing for months and it still looks brand new. How did you hear about this brand?
I was on line looking at reviews for a good high end guitar when I came across the Zager guitar site .

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I've owned many guitars in the last 20 years but this Zager 900CE guitar outperforms by far anyone of them I've ever owned or tried out in a music store. I recently was looking and tried out a Martin limited edition ,it's sound and playability was no match for my 900CE ,and it was twice the price. I was really glad I waited and purchased my Zager 900CE.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I really must say the is playability is right up there ,this guitar is very lightweight and has a stunning look , it has a ringing sound of quality that fills the room.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
This Guitar the 900CE , with the quality woods and bindings and programmable aurora pick up would be easily be over $4500 in a music store .

How would you rate customer support?
I was really content , every time I asked a question or had a concern about my order it was addressed with the highest regard and very prompt. Dennis and Whitney were very professional and you could tell product quality and client satisfaction is there main goal.

Yes I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for top quality guitar in playability / sound / looks /workmanship/ price and client support . Also this Guitar was equipped with the best programmable aurora pick up and the sound is second to none , This is not something you find anywhere .

Additional comments:
Just to add the guitar came in a beautiful molded case equipped with a built -in humidifier , a nice padded Zager guitar strap , spare strings ,a nice Zager Tee Shirt , guitar pick , picture Of Denny with my 900CE guitar and documentation .

I heard of rumors that there was a guitar that was only available on line and that it was a great guitar so I googled it and found ZAGER.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I love this guitar. When compared to my old guitar: first, its easier to play. Its amazing how much easier it is to operate. No painful fingers and its easy to hit tuff cords. Second, it sounds so clean, clear, and deep. I just played a 54 Gibson full box acoustic and I say this 80 is just as nice and easier to play. I have played Martins and Taylors and this thing is better for both sound and playability.

Have always wanted an easier to play acoustic but none in my price point or good value for the purpose of just playing at home in the evening but get a really nice sound w perfect tone and ease of play. This guitar has all that.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The neck. I have average size hands and this very comfortable to play and not too thick

Above and exceeding my expectation. Dennis emailed me before the shipment and made me aware of a very minor blemish in the body/ finish. Offered a very far set of options and resolved a potential issue before it was an issue. Outstanding customer service!! You even upgraded the case at no extra charge.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely... Great price for a guitar that is perfect for a player like me. I like the ease of play, sounds great, stays in tune, built in tuner is awesome and looks fantastic!!

Additional comments:
I am so glad I stumbled onto the Zager website. I was contemplating buying a new acoustic and really had reservations. I did not want to break the bank on the purchase but I am very picky about the sound quality, tuning, feel and playability of a guitar. This was quite a find. I can not compare it to more expensive guitars as I have never played them, but it is miles above my current guitar, Epiphone by Gibson.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I tried Martin's, Taylor, Gibson, Alvarez, Breedlove etc and althought they are solid instruments and sound good, Zager guitar sound was more richer and fuller without that muted sound as the others. A big factor was the playability on the neck and frets which led to a flowing of notes from the guitar.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The entire guitar is my favorite part. I would say the setup and playability of the Zager guitar.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
1500.00

How would you rate customer support?
Dennis was GREAT ! He attention to detail and vey prompt replies back to me me were of 1st rate CUSTOMER service.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes I would recommend this to everyone whether you a new acoustic player or experienced guitar player.

Additional comments:
I just received my new ZAD20E Sunburst Guitar. To be honest I was skeptical at first at buying a Zager. The name to me is unknown and the reviews are mixed publicly. But one thing stuck with me was the playability factor that I heard and read about for Zager guitar countless times. Learning acoustic guitar can be very painful on your fingers and difficult to play cleanly on the fretboard with chords etc. It can really inhibit your progress and over time kill your motivation to learn. The playability right out of the box when I received my guitar was SHOCKING !! Denny I was playing cleanly and without the effort as with other guitars! At that moment I knew that I made the right decision in trusting you with my guitar learning. I was able to play chords with ease due to your setup and my fingers didn't incur the pain from practicing for more than hour. My motivation has increased tenfold and I am already working on my first song. That how comfortable & confident Zager guitar's make you feel due to the quality of your work Denny. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the woods. The guitar is flawless and everyone who sees and hears the guitar is blow away and wants to play. I just direct them to you website. I want to Thank you for providing such a high quality guitar without the stigma of the high prices and poor customer service as with others. I would recommend your guitars which I do to anyone new or old player. Thanks so much Denny Warmest wishes Ernest

How did you hear about this brand?
My Grandson read about it on the internet.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I'll know more after I play it for a while. I play a HD28 Martin, Alvarez Yari JY10, and a Carvin Acoust\elec. All these are really great guitars. My Martin is my main guitar because of it tone and playability even tho they all play great. My first impression of the Zager is good, but I'll know more after I play it for a few sessions.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Plays good, and is true all the way up the neck. Action is a little higher than I like but that can be adjusted.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I'd say in the two to three thousand dollar range.

How would you rate customer support?
Haven't needed any, but I've heard nothing but good things.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes. First impression for me is it's a good guitar.

Additional comments:
I like quality instruments. I own and play a Mullen Steel Guitar, A Zum Steel that Bruce builds, and I also have a Carter BCT Steel. This Zager guitar if it gets better with time will be one I will keep for many years to come.

How did you hear about this brand?
After researching guitars online for several months.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This is a fantastic instrument. I put it through its paces for several hours over the last 2 days. Also, had a few friends try it out. The sound is bright with a warmth and depth that was surprising for a guitar in this price range. We compared it to a Martin D-16, a Taylor 201 and an old Gibson hummingbird. The sound was a lot like the Martin only a little richer. As far as playability...nothing compared. If you are looking for a really nice instrument without the really high price, I doubt you could do any better.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
What's not to like. Absolutely beautiful, plays like a dream and sounds great!

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
No bull,my Martin set me back over a grand 10 years ago. This guitar feels, plays, looks and sounds like a $1200 guitar.

How would you rate customer support?
So far a 10 out of 10. Fast responses to questions, all kinds of extras thrown in and 30 day money back guarantee. It doesn't get any better than that.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Already have a couple of friends drooling over it. Highly recommended! If you want a guitar that plays great, sounds good and looks fantastic YET still leaves you enough coin to buy a decent electric, thus is your guitar. If you like to overpay and end up with something not quite as playable...go get one the high ticket brand names.

Additional comments:
I have owned and played guitars for over 40 years! I know a great guitar when I play it. THIS is a GREAT guitar! Save some serious coin and pick one up. You will NOT be disappointed!

my neighbor and band mate Jan Morris got one for her birthday in July. She let me play it, and I knew immediately I had to have one.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It looks and plays a lot like my old Taylor cutaway except the tone is brighter and it's easier to play.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Probably playability. It plays as easily on the twelfth fret as the first. It looks good, sounds good, and plays great.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
At least twice what I paid for it.

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Oh yes. Already have.

Additional comments:
It's the perfect fit for the way I play. I am delighted.

My neighbor and bandmate Jan Morris got one for her birthday in July

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
It's shaped like my old Taylor cutaway, and it's got a similar feel, but it plays easier and the tone is brighter. Friends remarked last night that it had "more of a presence" than the Taylor. (Don't get me wrong. I still love my Taylor, which has been a reliable workhorse guitar for almost fifteen years.)

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Probably its playability. It plays as easily on the twelfth fret as the first. It sounds great unplugged or amplified. Its tone is superb and it's an ideal fit for the way I play.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
At least twice what I paid for it.

How would you rate customer support?
Excellent.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Oh yes. It's a beautiful instrument that plays beautifully.

Additional comments:
It arrived on my doorstep Thursday morning, Oct. 9. I gave it a one-hour front porch workout in the afternoon and I plugged it in and played with friends Thursday night. The guitar feels good, sounds good, and looks good.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I've owned an entry level Yamaha, which I sold and bought an entry level Martin (about $600 in 2003). The ZAD20 is by far the easiest to play.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
Do I have to choose just one? Ease of playing, well balanced sound, sealed smooth operating tuners, quality workmanship, the scaling of the frets is very accurate.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I've handed it to fellow guitar players and they thought it would sell in the $800 to $1000 range. I bought mine in 2004 for $399 (plus $100 for the case, well worth it!

How would you rate customer support?
You call them they support you. That's how I was able to retire. :) Seriously though, very prompt. I recently needed to add a strap button on the neck. I sent them an email asking what they recommended and they sent me one and a new set of strings free of charge!

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Absolutely! When I bought this guitar, I did so because of the EZ-play feature. My old Yamaha wasn't easy to play. The entry level Martin was better, but not as good as the Zager. When you're learning you don't want an instrument that makes learning more difficult. With the Zager I've found the guitar is NOT my limiting factor, and as I progress, I find I appreciate this instrument more and more. It's one of those rare items you buy that you're pleased with every time you use it!

Additional comments:
As I review this, my ZAD20 has passed it's 10th birthday. I played it a little when I first got it, but when I retired 3 years ago, I started playing it about 1.5-2 hours a day. It's a great guitar. Pretty much the only thing I need to do with it is adjust the neck when heating season starts and ends (wrench included) change the strings, tune it and play! It has held up wonderfully! The tuners are silky smooth and have never slipped. The action is amazing as is the sound. The ONLY thing I sometimes wish I had was one of the cutaway models like the ZAD20CE to ease getting to the frets past 12. The string to fretboard distance at the nut end of the neck is about 3mm. At the bridge end about 4.5mm. This is on a 10 year old guitar! (I think it sounds mellower now than when it was new too!) Also the in home try out can't be beat!

The 900 gives me the same feel as my Martin (1971 vintage) D28 and sounds great, even when new. Looking forward to the sound as the wood settles in

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
I love the action of this guitar. It bars almost like a full electric. And the woodwork is beautiful. This is also my first acoustic-electric.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I would have thought 3500-4000

How would you rate customer support?
So far, the Zager folks have been wonderful and incredibly responsive, even to simple questions. Nothing seems too trivial for them.

I certainly would. Play-ability, beauty and quality of workmanship and materials.

How did you hear about this brand?
I was looking for a guitar and shopping brick and mortar stores plus Internet when I saw an ad for zager guitars on YouTube. I was looking and playing guitars like gibson, Taylor and martin. I knew what I wanted but was disappointed by the playability of the instruments I found. They played about like the cheaper type I already owned. I saw the ad and began to investigate because I was skeptical about the hype. I did not believe any of it. I even went so far as to contact the better business Bureau to find out about zager complaints. I was surprised by the research in that I could find few negative points. I decided to take a chance, after all it had a money back guarantee.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This guitar can be described in one word. Awsome. Better than any guitar I played in the stores. Better than $2000 and $3000 dollar guitars I was playing in the stores. These were the back room stock, not the rack guitars out front.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
The finish on this guitar was beautiful. The action and playability out of the box was astounding. The upgrade case was an unexpected benefit.

If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
I was fully prepared to send this guitar back if not satisfied and rush out to purchase a 2 to 3 thousand dollar guitar. I am fully satisfied and love my zager. It is a beautiful instrument and worth more to me than my investment.

How would you rate customer support?
The support by the zager staff has been amazing. Dennis answered all my questions and I know there were many. They responded without high pressure and walked me thru the process and delivered more than was promised. The staff of zager is first rate.

Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Not only would I recommend zager I am already planning another purchase of one of their superior instruments.

How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
This is the nicest guitar that i have ever owned nice deep tones as well as a very even overall sound. this guitar was set up well, the intonation is real nice in playing all over the neck. The only guitars that i've played in stores that are this nice have ugly price that are not.

What's your favorite part about this guitar?
the overall setup makes it an easier guitar to play, subtle changes in design make a big overall difference. well thought out design.
